Answers to common questions about Rewire Planning, our process, fees and retirement planning services.
Rewire Planning Ltd provides structured, fee based retirement planning for New Zealanders.
We help you understand where you are now, define the retirement you want, forecast your future cashflow and align your estate, succession and charitable intentions into one clear, practical plan.
We work with individuals and couples across New Zealand, typically in their 40s to 70s, who want greater clarity and confidence around retirement.
Many of our clients are professionals, business owners or affluent households with multiple assets and goals that go beyond a basic KiwiSaver projection or online calculator.
Our process is built around four structured steps:
Our planning process is fee based.
Our first meeting is a fixed cost of $500 (+GST if any). Each step in the process thereafter is charged at an additional $400. There are 4 steps in total to complete the full process. You may not require every step; you have the autonomy to stop or take a break after each step if you wish.
No.
You can stop at any stage if you feel you’ve achieved what you need or the process is no longer right for you.
Each step is designed to deliver a clear, tangible outcome.
Typically, what we need includes information about your income, expenses, savings, investments, debts and any relevant estate planning documents.
If you don’t have everything available, we can still begin by focusing on your goals and current situation.
Our primary focus is retirement planning and cashflow forecasting.
As part of that process, we’ll discuss how investments fit into your overall strategy and provide guidance where appropriate.
Where specialist investment, legal or tax advice is required, we’ll explain this clearly and work alongside your existing advisers or refer you to other professionals.
A cashflow forecast helps you understand how your income, spending and savings may evolve over time.
It can help answer important questions such as:
The goal is to replace uncertainty with greater clarity and confidence.
Organising your legacy means aligning your financial plan with your estate, succession and charitable intentions.
It also means ensuring important documents are organised and accessible so your wishes are easier for others to understand and carry out in the future.
Yes.
Once your initial plan is in place, ongoing reviews can be arranged as needed to monitor progress, update assumptions and adjust your plan as circumstances change.
Rewire Planning Ltd is based in Tauranga and works with clients throughout New Zealand.
Meetings can be held in person where practical or online via video call.
Online calculators and AI tools can be useful starting points.
Rewire Planning goes further by providing a personalised retirement roadmap based on your actual circumstances, goals, family situation and financial position.
Rather than simply generating numbers, we help you interpret your options, understand trade offs and make informed decisions with confidence.
